During the 25 years I’ve been running a family workwear company, I’m embarrassed to say that, up until very recently, very few workwear manufacturers have devoted much time to producing decent, functional and stylish workwear for women.
The workwear world, however, has finally got its backside in gear and is now producing fantastic women’s work garments. I am not talking about officewear, fitted polo shirts or trousers – I am talking about serious industrial workwear for all your female trade customers out there.
When Pulsar asked me to look at some of its new high visibility workwear, I was really pleased that the company had decided to send me its new Ladies Storm Coat (P704). On closer inspection, I was amazed at how good this jacket was; the quality of this product far exceeded my expectations. I have recently looked at some European high visibility products that carry a hefty price tag, but Pulsar has produced a premium brand product at a fraction of the cost, without any compromise on the quality. I would go so far as to say that Pulsar has really raised the bar with its products.
The jacket has the official 3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape, a quality YKK zip, double storm flap to keep out the driving rain, an optional jacket liner and a detachable hood, to name just a few features. The garment has a duty wash cycle of 25 washes at 40ºC and printing it is also no problem: there is plenty of room on the chest and rear to print your customer’s logo, which makes this a great option for when you’re going out to quote a uniform contract.
Pulsar hasn’t stopped at the ladies’ fitted jacket; it also has high visibility polo shirts (long and short sleeve) and trousers with a range of waist sizes and three leg lengths for women, and they all meet either the EN ISO 20471 Class 3 or 2 standard. As Pulsar offers a full matching range for men and women, it’ll be no problem kitting out an entire workforce.
