Retro Repair Café
From business problem to brand, website and launch story.
Retro Repair Café — film
Retro Repair Café
What if booking a console repair felt less like an errand and more like somewhere you'd want to stay?
The business problem
A technician is repairing a console while the phone rings, paper notes pile up and customers ask where their repair stands. Clear assessment bookings and private status updates could ease the confusion — while making the visit itself worth remembering.
The idea
A nostalgic console repair café: book a 15-minute assessment and a milkshake, take a seat and eat while you wait, or come back for gaming nights and community. Customers could drop off, post in or collect a console.
What Ady built
- Brand direction, story and copy, with a responsive multi-page website.
- A working Supabase assessment-booking flow and private repair tracking, demonstrated with seeded fictional jobs.
- Planning with ChatGPT and Codex, then the build itself in Lovable.
- Generated café, food and repair visuals, Higgsfield B-roll, a Runway retro soundtrack and Ady's 1-minute-53 presentation video, edited in Filmora.
Community marketplace, food checkout and couriers are concept features only. No real payments or fulfilment are connected; demo jobs are fictional.
Created for the Lovable × Contra small-business challenge on a 100 build-credit budget.
